Comprehensive addiction work goes beyond the simple cessation of psychoactive substance use or compulsive behavior and involves a complete change of lifestyle built around the active addiction, to a new environment where the person takes responsibility for himself, his emotions and his behaviors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do we say so?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We conceive\nmourning as that normal reaction to the loss of something dear to us by\nus, such as a person, an object, a pet, a condition, among others,\nsuch a reaction is subject to the particular and social conditions of the\nthe person who presents the loss, being these factors the ones that determine the intensity of the loss.\nof pain and the duration of the detachment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When\nwhen talking about the suspension of the consumption of psychoactive substances, it is assumed that\na work of renouncing to a status that appears around such consumption, as\ntheir social circle, the  effects that\nThe relationship with life and pain, among others, is the reason for the\nthis is a work of elaboration of a loss, where the person is presented\ngradually realizes the magnitude of his resignation, as he gradually stops working and\ningesting the substance or carrying out the compulsive behavior is established\na new way of relating to oneself and one’s environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process begins with the acceptance of the reality of the loss, where we try to understand what was lost, what we are really giving up, then we must work on the emotions that appear, such as fear, pain, sadness, anxiety, allowing them to flow and wear out, then we work on the accommodation of the place that the substance or compulsive behavior occupied in our lives to finally begin to conceive and experience a new reality where what we appreciated so much is no longer with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
