At present there are many psychoactive substances, many of which belong to the classification called “synthetic or designer drugs”.<\/strong>  These can be synthesized and prepared in clandestine laboratories from non-natural substances<\/strong>, using mixtures of various substances of different composition and origin, seeking stimulant, depressant and hallucinogenic effects that have an impact on the central nervous system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tusi, Tucibi, Pink Cocaine or 2CB<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this case we will talk about “Tusi, Tucibi, pink cocaine or 2CB<\/strong>“. His real name is  2CB or Nexus<\/strong>, is composed of the molecule 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenylethylamine which is a psychedelic phenylethylamine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effects: Causes psychedelic effects in those who consume it, confusion, alteration of their senses, sensations of heat or cold, anxiety, dizziness, pleasure, hallucinations,  among others. The duration of its effects is 4 to 6 hours, although this depends on the metabolism, age, quantity and composition of the substance consumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Origin: The creation of this drug dates back to  the 70′- 80’s in the United States, where at that time psychoactive substances were prohibited and the search for new drugs with addictive and central nervous system altering potential proliferated in clandestine laboratories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is known that in Colombia it began to arrive at the beginning of the millennium, in a very exclusive way and little by little it began to become more popular and used initially in the high society, this associated to its high cost and to be associated to electronic parties and environments frequented by people with high acquisition of money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alteration of composition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the present time, a phenomenon associated with the fact that the drug has been distorted in the hands of young people who have decided to prepare it themselves by changing its original composition and using any number of substances with contradictory effects and with a great addictive potential, favoring the generation of physical and psychological dependence as well as physical damage and affectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In research conducted  it can be observed that at least 90% of the  “2CB” marketed does not contain the original composition, but a mixture usually composed of Ketamine, MDMA, amphetamines<\/strong>, dyes,  essences of vaporizers and some of them put  flavorings and bakery inks, among others. In some cases, the following have even been found benzodiazepines known as wheels and Opiates (opium derivatives)<\/strong>, generating unmanageable dependence and physical and psychological risks.<\/strong>The aggravating factor is that its consumers have a false sense of security because it was originally known as a drug associated with “good people” without the scenarios of other known substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of “Camilo”, a consumer, manufacturer and distributor of “Tusi”.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A consumer, manufacturer and distributor of “Tusi o 2CB”.   who we will call “Camilo” to protect his identity, tells us: “we threw everything at this,  such as animal Ketamine, LSD, alprazolam or other types of benzodiazepines. Some add heroin or derivatives<\/strong>, or nexus which is bromine <\/strong>but they add very little, so it is really 5% 2cb and 95% the drugs mentioned above and the cut (to make it yield) which can be caffeine, Colbon, or pills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This powder is sold on the streets at prices from $50,000 per gram and upwards, and half a gram, that is, a manilla, from $25,000 and upwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are sold from  (illegal drug outlets) to home dealers or discotheques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This “soup” of drugs is mainly consumed in electronic parties, discos, recreational estates, apartments, etc…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2cb started out costing $120,000 when it was the real thing and has now “downgraded”, so to speak, and is now more accessible, so it is consumed by people who are not necessarily rich or wealthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is consumed by young people from the age of 15 to adults of 40 or so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2cb can be cooked at home, on a normal stove, in a pot and in the micro or in a bain-marie. the “keta” is burned and the liquids are cooked together. Then the pills and the “mdma” are ground and all the powders are mixed with the already powdered liquids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is scraped, massaged and put in the freezer for a few seconds. Everything has its measures. Camilo explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dealer incites consumption through social networks or by showing his products personally or by word of mouth from customers, often giving away small doses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are wealthy consumers, who have kilos and kilos to “sniff”, as well as consumers who buy 1 gram from time to time; or they start cooking to be able to afford their own consumption, although this is delicate because if one gets into someone else’s place one’s life can be in danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drug effect and dosage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The dosage starts with 2 to 6 passes depending on the consumer, and should be progressive. In a matter of 5 minutes  The effect starts, it puts you in a bubble where all the senses are sharpened and you can hear the music better, feel the atmosphere better, it gives chills and a feeling of excitement and happiness, at the same time it incites you to sex and to misbehave, women are looser and men are more determined. Camilo tells us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With some “soples”, as they are called, you are satisfied with little, with others you get very high, sometimes  you want more and more and never stop. You get to keep partying and having sex and everything. The only thing you are worried about is not running out of the 2cb bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People in the rumba with the 2cb  this  in a competition on who has the biggest 2cb bag, who dresses and spends the most, who carries the best blower. 2cb puts you in a movie in which you believe that anything is possible, that you can achieve anything.  and a thousand fantasies go through your head. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The problem is that when you least expect it, even without knowing it, you are “caught”, dependent, you think you can handle it and leave it whenever you want, but not<\/strong> you are capable,<\/strong> it’s like a magnet that attracts you, you promise you’re going to quit and two hours later you’re consuming, then you feel guilt and a huge emptiness, plus a lot of anxiety.<\/strong>. It is a fake, wherever you look, an illusion that does not exist, you are supposedly accompanied by people who are only there out of interest. You push away all the people who love you<\/strong>, you gradually stop doing the activities you once enjoyed and your whole life begins to fade away<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way “Camilo” tells us part of his experience from the inside in the consumption, manufacture and distribution of Tusi, a dangerous designer drug<\/strong>, adulterated to its initial composition and with a well regarded social presentation<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
